posting upon meichun's request --- SYFOC
i didnt want to post... coz 1. i lost interest in blogging. 2. i dont want to think about SYFOC coz i bet i'll be crying through this whole post.
oh man. i dunno where and how to start. never mind... i just dont want it to end. syf trainings are always so funny so fun. i cant believe i wont get to see all the people who went through these numerous trainings with me. contingent mates... ma'ams... & sirs.
lala. shall just talk about the actual day.
woke up at 8. went downstairs for 'breakfast' and saw that my 1st u was naked. Screamed for my maid. [last night i told her to put back the 3 buttons that dropped but instead she took out all the buttons] ok. so she put back all the buttons and collar label and whatever while i went to bathe. So, we were supposed to use safety pin to pin all the buttons to ensure that no buttons drop. [3 of my buttons dropped on the day of preview] so i happily brought my bunch of safety pins down and starting pinning my buttons.
alas! only to find the last button missing! screamed for my maid again and she insisted that there were only 4 big buttons. oh good. i was so damn scared tears started flowing down. it's FIRST U eh. searched everywhere but nowhere to be found. then my mama came to see what happened. [by this time it's around 9.10 alr] then i called cong. but not much help coz obviously no one can miraculously make another button appear. So I decided to just get another one from the store.
9.20 my mama drove me to the bus stop. just missed my bus. boarded the next bus and decided that i'm definitely going to be late with the speed which the bus is going. Called cong to tell her that i was going to be late. So she said she'll go in herself first at 10.45 and help me get the button then we will meet at the drill shed. Then my mama called. and i started crying again [coz she was like trying to comfort me but she made it worst] so no face eh. cry on the bus. then cong called and said that should call sir to tell him coz the day before they asked for the names of the people who wants to change parts of their U. So i called ru jie sir and it didnt seem like a big deal to him -__- oh wells.
Reached at like 11.15? chiong all the way in. i was marching so damn fast i bet it was the fastest in my entire life. overtook a lot of people who were still taking their time. chiong into the toilet. and POOF! like in 3 minutes i was done. so damn proud of myself. ok. maybe exaggerated. but i really changed damn fast! then we went out to fall in. then people came screaming coz si en forgot her black socks and the store sells for 3 for $10. [not that she dont have the $$ but she have to march all the way to the store and back! no timee!] and then me the hero remembers that i have extra black socks. so me and cong ran back into the toilet. pulled my shoebag out from my bag, clumsily tries to unzip and dig for my very disgusting black socks. oh well... better than none. second time i lent socks to cont mates. tuesday also. haha. but that one... give her la. coz i forgot who i lent it to.
as usual, but for the last time. we marched to the armory to draw arms.

my last rifle. butt number --- NP 73.
went on the bus to SIS [singapore indoor stadium]. nothing much. reach there. then as usual we got to slack around while waiting. [rehearsals are full of waiting] funny stuffs happened. we had this code or whatever thingy you call it. when sir puts up one finger we will reply in our normal npcc style. two fingers, NCC style [deep low voice]. three fingers, girl guides style [high screeky voice]. four fingers, st john style [give tong ku sound]. damn funny la. [you have to be there to know it's funniness]
And it was sort of Fadzri sir's last day with NPCC. so when he came back in into the function room, we said "THANK YOU FADZRI SIR" in all four styles. and the plan was that all the guys run up to him, surround him and kiss him. >< but obviously when the real thing came, no one dared to. until dunno which sir went "5! 4! 3! 2! 1!" then all the boys stood up and surrounded him. heh. but they didnt dared to touch him. and then rujiesir said either to do it or drop twenty. haha. then fadzrisir had a deal with the guys to just drop twenty but he will do with them. whoo. so it was mass pumping. 50+ guys pumped while the girls were all busy taking photos. hehe.
anyway they decided to be very
nice to us and gave us only ONE meal --- dinner at 4.30. and that was the only meal i had the whole day. and then on the day of preview, they gave us four meals until my stomach was totally going to explode.
had one final rehearsal before dinner. then after dinner, we changed into our white shirts. luckily ma'am allowed those who had very tranlucent white shirts to wear our unit shirts over. then waiting time = talking time. then changed into First U. then practised a bit of drills. [the order may be a bit wrong. heh.] got our new gloves. it's quite the very big. and the material is quite thin. like those kind use once then can throw alr.
the moment finally came. we proceed to the F.U.P [form-up point] and waiting nervously behind the curtains while the choir was singing inside and then HCINCC performed. shook hands with the sirs [or rather, the sirs shook hands with us -_-] and cont mates. HCINCC went out. We overturned our bayonets and fell in.
It was our turn.

yuhua band marched in first. then the supporting conts.then us. no serious mistakes =) marched out. and IT WAS OVERRR!
waited outside the stadium while the first 3 rows went back into the function room to get all our belongings. this time... ...

WE'RE FINALLY DONE! YAY! [throws gloves into the air]
had a bit of photo taking time. couldnt use my hp coz it was too dark alr. therefore, all the photos are with cong coz she brought camera. took photos with zhiguang sir, saleiha ma'am, jolyn ma'am, fadzri sir erm... anymore? then went back to hta in first U and for the last time... we marched to the armory... for the last time, i stepped into the armory... for the last time... i returned my rifle.
then we were given another photo taking time! xD this time, we took cont photo and took photo with rujie sir, mingjun sir, nicholas sir, dominic sir, kelvin sir... anymoreanymore? should be about it.
OH YEA! forgot to mention that we were even the GUARD OF HONOUR BADGE! xD xD xD i'm so freaking damn proud of it. but sad that we cant keep it :( it's apparently the only badge on our First U. and you will pin it on your right, one finger above the 'pocket' in the middle. *nods*
after photo taking, we sad around this bench. closing speech time. ahhh. i hate this part. T.T emo. many girls cried. guys dont cry. dominic sir was the first [coz he's the highest rank]. then was fadzri sir.. this is the part. AHHH. blahhhhhhhhh. kjsagdwrdmapoeg. i'm starting to cry. as i mentioned, he's leaving alr. Can tell that he really really really she bu de! and he really really really loves NP a lot.

fadzri sir: no. I dont like np. I

all the girls: NPCC LOVES YOU TOO!
WAHHHH. that wasnt during the closing speech btw. it was during a waiting/talking time. anyway, he cried while giving his speech. AHHH. can see that he was trying very hard to fight his tears back. i dunno how to say but can see that he was really really really she bu de! imagine a big man crying... it must have meant a lot to him. he even removed his FI criss and p-cap!
then other sirs and ma'ams all took turns to talk. rujiesir was the last. somehow... can see that he was damn sad though he wasnt crying. usually he would be joking around.. yea... but like even when the other sirs and ma'ams were talking, he was standing at the back quietly... i dunno how to say la! he got that kind of 心碎 look. this was the other one which many girls cried.

we were given 10 mins to change out. and fell back in as a cont for the last time... and marched out together for the last time...

turn-check-bang-check-up-check-down-check-left-right-left- GOH! [punch the air]byebye everyone. I will definitely miss the trainings and all the time we spent together... I will miss the drill shed, the armory, the rifles, the function room, the trees which we ate under, the stadium, the First U, the GOH Badge, and last but not least, everyone of you.
i feel very 哭笑不得. so much happy memories but sad that it's all over. the exact feelings i had that day. aah. i start tearing everytime i think of syfoc but when i think of the funny fun moments, i start smiling. AHHHH.
i cant stop thinking about syfoc... especially when i'm in bed. i teared the past two nights to sleep. woke up on sat morning tearing again. at least i didnt this morning.. haiz. and now i cant even concentrate on my pile of homework.
on a happier note, my teacher says i'm going to take grade 2 exams for violin next year. and good thing my mama stopped forcing me to retake organ grade 7 again coz she's so happy that i'm going so fast on the vioin. anyway, my vioin teacher expects me to practise 2 hours daily which is freaking impossible. i practise like only 2 -3 times a week for like 1/2 to 1 hour?? oh wellies.
